INVALIDES

Art Takes Center Stage

Escape the tourist-laden streets, tune out the city noise, and step into this verdant haven of peace—an ultimate family retreat.

Nestled within a beautiful 19th-century bourgeois house, where old floorboards have been preserved as a tribute to the illustrious neighborhood it resides in, lies the Invalides Private Mansion.

For this project, the owners entrusted Hélène Guillon Lempereur with a comprehensive decoration mission—to create the very essence of a family home.

Initially lacking in light, the challenge was to infuse life into the space with precision. Through a curated yet generous selection of artworks, Hélène bestowed a unique soul upon this private mansion. This project holds a special place in Hélène's heart, representing the culmination of a lifelong passion.

The owners gave me carte blanche to introduce them to the work of artists that resonated with their personalities and would add a touch of soul to the space. It was an immense pleasure for me.

In the living room, beautiful wood essences adorn the walls, cleverly reshaping the space with ingenious trompe-l'oeil effects that allow light to filter through. Custom-made furniture pieces enhance the space with elegance.

Every detail has been delicately considered to meet the wishes of the family members. Hélène took into account the personality of each individual, from soft pink hues to the double boat cabin, to the children's bathroom where every element has been redesigned on a miniature scale—nothing was left to chance.

And then, the artworks add the final touch. At the heart of it all is Martin Berger's monumental installation, "Grand Souffle," comprising 800 gold leaf scales.

In the Invalides Private Mansion, art seamlessly intertwines with daily life, creating a space where beauty, comfort, and personal expression coalesce into a harmonious whole.

This private mansion stands as a testament to the collaborative vision of Hélène Guillon Lempereur and Olivier Lempereur, where expertise meets passion to create a timeless masterpiece.
